Leland R. Hasler, 97, of Newberry passed away Tuesday July 7, 2020 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born July 30, 1922 in Scotland, Indiana the son of Jasper and Gertie (Haywood) Hasler.

Leland was a farmer, he served on the Greene County Council and was a trustee.

Surviving relatives include his daughter, Joanette Kay Nolting, four grandchildren, Kimberly Nolting, Todd Nolting, Melissa Horton and Jeanna Walters, fifteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and one sister Betty Jo Dean.

Leland was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Eurtis M. Hasler on July 30, 2018; one son, Roger Hasler, two grandsons, Kelly Hasler, Robert Nolting, three brothers, five sisters and his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, masks will be required for the visitation.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at Scotland Cemetery with Pastor Bob Bruner officiating. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Newberry United Methodist Church in Leland's name.
