Laurel Marie Bucher, 86, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday at her residence.

Born December 31, 1929 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Jasper and Helen (Records) Wright.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Christian Church. She was married to Myles "Pete" Bucher in January 1948. They were married for 37 years until his death in 1985.

Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Debra Ramsey (Dan) of Odon; one son, David Bucher (Rosa) of Terre Haute; a brother, Dale Wright of Kokomo; her grandchildren, Scott Steele and Amber Hudson (Jeremy) both of Odon; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, "Pete" Bucher, brothers, Charles and Dareld Wright, a grandchild, Myla Savant and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Antioch Cemetery.
