Larry Gene Chaney, 58, of Owensburg passed away Tuesday October 21, 2025 at his residence.

Larry was born on July 24, 1967 in Linton, Indiana the son of Jackie Lee Chaney and Sharon Rose (Payne) Chaney.

Larry worked for C & H Stone Company as a gang saw operator, he was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Owensburg, Larry had a big heart and would help anybody, he would always say if something happened to me, don't be sad I had a good run.

Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Makayla (Ben) Mitchell, Adrienne (Mike Rodsky) Chaney, his grandchildren, Chayse Chaney, Autumn Chaney, Brookelinn Osborn, Jayden Chaney, Emma Mitchell, his four brothers, Kent (Teri) Chaney, Aaron Chaney, Andy (Mary) Chaney, Garry Chaney and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by one son, Austin Gene Chaney and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Friday October 24, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Owensburg Cemetery.

The family ask any memorial donations in Larry's name be given to Center Fire Territory.
