L. Jean Haviland 79, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:12 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at her residence.
Born August 11, 1931 in Newark, Indiana she was the daughter of Lloyd and Naomi (Kay) Arthur.
She was a retired secretary for American Family Insurance in Indianapolis and attended Genesis Church in Bloomington. She was a member of the Women of the Moose #1081, the Red Hatters and the Stone Belt Center Mother's Group.
Surviving relatives include: four daughters, Sue Weddle (John), Connie Warrick (Al), Carrie J. Pagliaro (Al) all of Bloomington and Kelly Jean Haviland of Indianapolis; one brother, Robert Arthur of Indianapolis; one sister, Norma Whitney of Nevada; nine grandchildren and five great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Haviland in 2005, one brother, Ray Arthur and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Brother Al Pagliaro officiating. Interment will be in Newark Cemetery in rural Solsberry.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
