Kenneth Merel Michael, 72, of Solsberry, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born December 30, 1938 in Greene County, he was the son of Troy Martin and Ella (Watkins) Michael.
He was a truck driver for Wetterau foods in Bloomington retiring in 1996.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Doris (Boyd) Michael whom he married August 10, 1960; three daughters, Doreen Michael of Solsberry, Debbie Hartman of Gosport, and Susan Burton of Solsberry; one son, Kevin Michael of Solsberry; two sisters, Betty Anderson of Springville and Gladys Edwards of Solsberry; three brothers, Wayne Michael of Bloomfield, Danny Michael of Spencer, and Marvin Michael of Bloomington; seven Grandchildren and four great, grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Martin Michael on October 24, 1987, his parents, and one brother, Donald Michael.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Raymond New officiating. Interment will follow in Newark cemetery in rural Solsberry.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
