Kay M. Smith 64, of Owensburg, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.
Born July 18, 1946 in Berea, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Woodson and Gladys (Abrams) Neeley.
She retired from Walmart in Linton as a cashier and a manager. She also worked at Craig's gun shop.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Walter "Smitty" Smith whom she married April 5, 1969; one daughter, Kim Ford of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Guy Neeley (Judy) of Gas City, Betty Mains of Mansfield, Ohio, Gerry Stout (Bill) of Winter Haven, Florida, Brenda Davidson (Ken) of Brookville and Woody Diane Browning (George) of Metamora; mother-in-law, Edna Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sharon Foxx of Oxford, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Millville cemetery in Millville, Ohio, with David Stansberry officiating.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
