A celebration took place in Heaven on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 pm when Kathleen M. (Taylor) Berry went home to be with the Lord she served since 1968. There was also numerous reunions that took place. She was reunited with her 1st husband, 1st Lt. Eugene Taylor, who was killed in Germany in 1963 and her 2nd husband, Wilbert Berry, who died in 1997. She was also reunited with her oldest son, Steve and a daughter who died of a miscarriage. Other reunions were with her best friends, Shirley Garvin, Peggy McQueen and Colleen Axsom. The fabulous four is together again and the coffee pots are working overtime to keep up! She was also preceded in death by sisters, Wynona Flynn, Gloria McCammon and Imogene Lester and brothers, Robert and Bill Patton and her parents, Rudolph and Marie (Gilbo) Patton.

Kathleen "Kab" was born on December 29, 1933 in Bloomington, she began her walk with God in 1968 and was a member of the Broadview Church of the Nazarene. She later was a member of Northside Wesleyan and the Shepherd of the Hills Wesleyan Church in Bloomington and held several jobs in each.

Kab loved her family and even after losing her parents, two husbands, and a son, she always said, "God has been so good to this family." She is survived by her son, Dave (Debbie) of Bloomfield, her granddaughter, Jessica (Dusty) Delafield, her grandson, Scott (Brooke), six great grandchildren, Savannah Taylor, Madison Taylor, Isaiah Delafield, Dominick Taylor, Kennedi Flynn and Judah Delafield and several nieces and nephews. She was much loved and respected by her family and friends and could always be counted onto help whoever and wherever needed. Besides loving her family, Kab was a pet lover, she had several dogs, including Chance and Teke, and several cats, but not all at the same time!

When Kab and her sons came back from Germany after her husband's death, they built a house in Highland Village which became the gathering place for lots of Steve and Dave's friends. She said she would get up in the morning and there would be little arms and little legs sticking out everywhere! Then she would fix breakfast for the whole lot of them!

Several of Kathleen's family came to live with her throughout the years and she took them all in and helped them all she could. She also helped out in her church wherever she was needed, even if she didn't feel capable of doing the job. She tried and succeeded at them all.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Rev. Dusty Delafield, her grandson-in-law, will be preaching. Burial will be at the Methodist Cemetery in Ellettsville.
