Karen N. Townsend 78, of Newberry passed away Sunday January 24, 2021 at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born March 23, 1942 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of James W. and Dorothy Naomi (Hall) Haywood.

Karen was a homemaker and a member of the Newberry Order of Eastern Star, and Scotland Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Max Townsend, three children, Brian, Tim and Dorothy Townsend, her grandchildren, Danny Townsend, Jason Townsend, Eric Townsend, Leon Townsend, Sierra Townsend, Delaine Brown, Delisa Hintz, she has one brother, Keith Haywood and several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 12 to 1 P.M. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services are 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Scotland Cemetery in Karen's name.
