Josephine Hanks' Obituary
Josephine Hanks, 90, of Lyons, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her daughter's residence in Lyons.
Born September 18, 1930 in Illinois, she was the daughter of Henry and Elsina (Ashby) Freeman.
She retired from RCA after 25 years of service and later worked for meals on wheels. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church where she played the piano and the organ.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Avanell Kuhlenschmidt of Lyons; her grandson, Michael Kuhlenschmidt of Lyons and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Hanks in 2012 and her parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Prairie Chapel cemetery in rural Lyons, with Chris Gehring officiating.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.
