Obituary

Joseph H. Toon, 73, of Worthington, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Saturday June 2, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born April 8, 1934 in Burns City, he was the son of Bruce and Alice (Osborn) Toon.
He was a quality assurance inspector for NSWC Crane retiring after 33 years of Federal service. He was a member of the Odon First Christian Church, a former member of the Newberry Masonic Lodge #177, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving relatives include: his wife Kay (Mullis) Toon of Worthington, whom he married November 10, 1956; one daughter, Kathy and her husband Kenny McIntosh of Bloomfield; two sons, Paul J. and his wife Sharon of Bloomfield and Michael and his wife Melissa of Bloomfield; two brothers, Jim Toon of Michigan and Jerry Toon of Washington; two sisters, Jenny Minks and Judy Beck both of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Matthew Britton, Heather Arford, Holli Norris, Rachel Toon, Madison Toon, and Malea Toon; his great, grandchildren, Trinity Britton, Haley Britton, and Hope Norris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Scotland cemetery with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Joe's life at the Worthington Community Building from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. following services Tuesday. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield, Indiana is in charge of arrrangements.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to: The Worthington Senior Center, The Greene County Cancer Society, or the charity of the donor's choice.
