Joseph L Frye of Bloomfield went home to be with Jesus on Friday, July 8th, after a short illness. He was born December 20, 1933 to Kenneth and Ada Casner Frye. Graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1952. He worked at RCA in Bloomington until he joined the U.S. Navy for a 2 year stent serving our country.

He married the love of his life, Reta Jo Scott Frye on April 5, 1958. They enjoyed 64 wonderful years together and she survives. He is also survived by his children: Rebecca L. Mishler (Mark), Trema L. Helms (Marvin) and Scott J. Frye. Two sisters, Evelyn Resler and Ruth Barker (John Barker Jr.). Grandchildren: Chad Strange (Ashley), Graham Helms and Jesse Helms (Shelby Patton). Great Grandchildren: Molly R. Strange and Nolan J. Strange. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister in law, Marilyn Norris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ada Casner Frye. Most of his life was lived doing what he loved most, dairy farming. He loved the outdoors, hard work and Jesus. He raised his children with a Christian upbringing and a gentle demeanor. He never complained about the 7 day a week job, he was always full of love. He dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family awaits a heavenly reunion.

Joe has chosen cremation for the end of his life. There will be a family graveside service only. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
