John "David" Thompson, 76, formerly of Bloomfield passed away Saturday April 1, 2023 at Autumn Trace in Linton.

Born April 8, 1946 in Linton, Indiana the son of Charles Frederick Thompson and Anna Elizabeth (Smith) Thompson.

David had worked for Indianapolis Power Light as a meter reader, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of the Odd Fellows, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge all of Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include one brother, James H. (Joan) Thompson of Bloomfield, one sister, Sandra E. (Richard) Ketchem of Bloomington and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Freddie Gene Thompson and his grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday April 6, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 10 A.M. Friday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Warren Shake officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donation be made to Autumn Trace Bingo fund in David's name.
