John Robert "Bob" Noel, Sr., 84, of Worthington, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born March 15, 1940 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Robert Lowell Scott and Rosella Jean (Noel) Mullins.

Bob was a mechanic for Noel Brother's in Bloomfield. He was the former Pastor at Shelburn Wesleyan church and a member of the Bloomfield Southside Wesleyan Church.

Surviving relatives include: his children, Yyvonne Clevenger (Walter), Rosetta Lynn Williams, Paul Edward Noel (Veronica), Jimmy Noel and Scott Noel; nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; three ½ brothers, Paul Franklin Pearson, Jim Richard Pearson and Leroy Pearson; two ½ sisters, Glenda Ramirez and Nina Henderson (Phil); one step sister, Mary Olive Moffet and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viletta Louisa Noel on October 9, 2016, one son, John Robert Noel, Jr., two daughters, Rosella Burris and Fleta Ann Noel, ½ brothers, Junior Pearson and Danny Scott, his grandparents, Paul and Fleta Noel and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Gerald Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday and 1 hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American cancer Society.
