Jerold Lee "Jerry" Gardner 72, of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at his residence.

Born February 4, 1947 in Warren Pennsylvania, he was the son of Hershel and Cathryn (Baker) Gardner Pessia.

Jerry was a truck driver and served his country in the United State Army in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Worthington and the DAV unit 9 in Terre Haute.

Surviving relatives include: his companion, Debra Shake; three children, Tammy Gardner, Jesse Gardner and Denver Gardner; his step daughter, Ashley Rehmel; mother, Cathryn Pessia; two brothers, Danny Gardner and Kenny Gardner; six grandchildren and three step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. There will be no funeral services.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Jenkins Funeral Home.
