Jeffery Wayne Swedran, 76, of Worthington, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born May 31, 1949 in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of Joseph Robert and Mary Antoinette (Sabocik) Swedran.
Jeffery served his country with the United States Navy. He retired as a soil Conservationist for the USDA. He was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond and later graduated from Purdue University. He was a Chicago Cubs and Purdue sports fan. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and training dogs.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Nancy (Hobson) Swedran; one son, Curt Swedran; a daughter, Cara Swedran; his granddaughter, Glory Hager; one sister, Donna Cigler (Burt); his sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private graveside services will be conducted at Calvertville cemetery in rural Bloomfield. There will be no public visitation.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Greene County Humane Society.
