Obituary

Emma Jean Johnson, 82, of Bloomfield passed away 5:45 a.m. Wednesday August 10, 2005 at Glenburn Home, Linton, Indiana.
Born September 16, 1922 in Taylor Township, Greene County, Indiana she was the daughter of Herbert Cecil and Margaret (Baird) Hostettler.
She was a secretary for the Superintendent of Bloomfield high school, and also was an assistant to Greene County Auditor Milt Bogard. She was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, a life member of Delta Theta Tau sorority, Sunday school kindergarten class teacher for many years, United Methodist Church choir member, and graduated from Scotland High School in 1940.
Survivors include: two sons Richard D. Johnson and his wife Joyce of Bloomfield, and David K. Johnson and his wife Sue of Bloomfield; two brothers, Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler of Bloomfield, and Michael Sayre of Charlotte, Michigan; five grandchildren, Kevin Fesler of Virginia, Stacey Deaton of Bloomfield, Renee McIntosh of Bloomfield, Ryan Johnson of Indianapolis, and Chris Johnson of Indianapolis; seven great-grandchildren, Samantha Deaton, Cole Deaton, Hunter Deaton, Hannah Fesler, Marisa McIntosh, Wyatt McIntosh, and Lance McIntosh all of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 60 years Donald M. Johnson whom she married February 1, 1942.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday August 12, 2005 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church with Revs. Lynn Snyder and Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield, Indiana, and from 12 noon until the hour of services Friday at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
