Jay Dee Williams, 66, of Bloomington passed away Friday October 11, 2024 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born October 10, 1958 in Linton, Indiana the son of Richard J. and Mary Lou (Cunningham) Williams.

Jay was a retired United States Air Force veteran, he was a commercial truck driver for twenty-four years and drove for a United States Postal Service contractor for three years; he was a thirty-one-year member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post # 196 and attended Sherwood Oaks Church in Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Lisa Williams, they married on June 24, 1977; his children, Rebecca (Matthew) Evans, Rachel Williams, Kristopher (Stephanie) Phillipson, Brandon Williams, his six grandchildren, Larissa, Asher, Olivia, Maryanna, Wyatt and Alice; his siblings, Kathy (Mike) Turner, Carla Weathers and Carol Williams.

Jay was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Williams, one brother-in-law Gerald Weathers and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2024 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Harvest Community Church with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Scotland Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Jay's name be given to Harvest Community Church or The American Cancer Society.
