Obituary

Janet Rose (Bradfield) Combs, 88, of Lyons, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her residence.
Born September 29, 1924 in Richland County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Charlie Anson and Reba Gertrude (Abell) Bradfield.
She was an operator for Western Union and was a member of the Lyons American Legion Auxiliary Post #479, Gold Star wives, and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Shawn E. Edwards of Bicknell, Linda Casper of Bruceville and Royleen Keen of Bedford; sisters, Bonnie Kernes of Dugger, Mona Samuels of Gainesville, Florida and Hilda Withey of California; grandchildren, Christen Alexander of Dugger, Corey Casper of Indianapolis, Aaron Casper of Kona, Hawaii, Andrew Keen of Bedford and Cassandra Helderman of Fyffe, Alabama; great, grandchildren, Lilly Alexander, Conner Casper, Kennedy Casper, Thomas Hoegg, Aiden Keen, Avery Keen and Amelia Keen.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Sayre, Jr., second husband, Bernis Leon Combs, one son, Barton Leon Combs and a brother, Allen Bradfield.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons, with Rev. Ken Coffman officiating.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to The Lyons American Legion Auxiliary Post #479 or the Salvation Army.
