James A. Wilson, 86, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday August 23, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born February 27, 1940 in Washington D.C. the son of John D. and Helen A. (McGinnes) Wilson.

James was a retired Program Manager at NWSC Crane; he was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Bloomington and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Florida. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Helen Wilson, one son, James A. Wilson, II (Lisasue), seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three siblings, John D. Wilson, Jr (Randi), Penelope Magelssen (David) and Michael Wilson (Barbara).

James was preceded in death by one son, David F. D. Wilson and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. to 1 P.M. on Thursday at the Walnut Church of God in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Walnut Church of God with Pastor Shouse officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
