James Larry Garten 66, of Bloomfield, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his residence.Born August 15, 1947 in Indianapolis, he was the son of James J. and Betty J. (Newell) Garten.He was a farmer.  He served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam.Surviving relatives include:  his mother, Betty J. Garten of Abingdon, Maryland; two sisters, Janet L. Garten of Newark, Delaware and Jennifer Welsh of Abingdon, Maryland; one brother, Jacob Garten of Bloomfield; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, James J.
