James William Frye, 70, of Linton, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his residence.

Born December 20, 1944 in Greene County, he was the son of Roy and Mary (King) Frye.

He delivered milk for Holland Dairy and worked for Nature's Fertilizer in Greene County. He also worked for the Greene County Highway Department and RCA in Bloomington. He was a God fearing man who loved his family. He attended Lyons Community Church and enjoyed gardening, Fords and writing spiritual poetry.

Surviving relatives include: two sons, Aaron Frye of Bloomington and Eric Frye of Linton; one daughter, Melissa Jean Wood of Indianapolis; two sisters, Shirley Saladin and Linda Gilmore both of Bloomfield; one brother, Jerry Frye of Bloomfield; and six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Jack Frye and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
