Obituary

James William Ferguson, 76, of Doans (Bloomfield) Indiana passed away at 8:55 P.M. on Saturday July 7, 2007 at his sons residence in Doans.
Born October 23, 1930 in Doans Indiana he was the son of James Frank & Edith Irene (Courtney) Ferguson.
He was a Logger, and ran the Sawmill in Doans with his father. He was an outdoors' man, he loved to fish, hunt, and trap. He was an avid gardener and went to the farmers market in Bloomington for many years. He won the State Horseshoe pitching title in 1975, 1977, 1978, 1980, & 1982. He was on the Bradfields Landscaping horseshoe team. He was married to Betty Jo Chin in 1956, they were divorced later. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a Cpl in the 86th Army Artillery Unit during the Korean War.
Surviving relatives include 3 children Katherine A. Dallmier of Bloomfield, Indiana. James Andrew Ferguson of Bloomington, Indiana. & Rev. Paul Anthony Ferguson of Evansville, Indiana. 2 Grandchildren William T. Dallmier & Courntey R. Dallmier both of Bloomfield, Indiana. 2 Step-Grandchildren Emily Myers of Newton, Illinois & Justin Dallimer of Bellevue, Nebraska. 6 Sisters Wilma Bundy Wilson of Salem, Indiana. Edna Williams of Fayetteville, Indiana. Ida Mae Bouvier of Bloomington, Indiana. Jean Madlock of Salem, Indiana. Evelyn Flater of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marylin Sue Faultless of Bloomington, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents & 1 sister Maxine Ferguson.
Friends may call from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday July 11, 2007 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday Evening at the Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday July 12, 2007 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield with Father Michael T. Madden & Rev. Paul A. Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery in Scotland Indiana.
The Family wishes all donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
