James "Jim" Edington, 61, of Bloomfield passed away Monday November 28, 2011 at his residence.
Born February 21, 1950 in Greene County, Indiana the son of Ray A. and Louise (Marlin) Edington.
Jim was an engineer at Crane and a member of the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include his wife Anita Edington of Bloomfield, one son James P. Edington of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren Theresa Edington, Chelsea Edington and James E. Edington all of San Antonio, Texas. One sister Mary (Chane) Collings of Bloomfield and two sister-in-laws; Kate Edington of Englewood, Florida and Ruth (David) Bond of North Fort Myers, Florida, he has several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by one daughter Melissa Edington, one brother John Edington and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 10 A.M. Friday until the hour at the Church.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield with Pastor Eugene Helms officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to Word of Life Fellowship Mission Fund or Navigators.
