Jack L. Gholson, 81, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday February 7, 2023 at his residence.

Born March 22, 1941 in Bloomfield, Indiana the son of William P. and Wilma V. (Pearson) Gholson.

Jack retired from Indiana University where he worked as a carpenter and in maintenance, he was a minister at Eastern Pentecostal Church for 49 years and served as a minister for 52 years. Jack loved woodworking and serving God.

Surviving relatives include his wife Doris Gholson, one daughter, Cheryl (Joseph) Anderson, his step-son, Timothy Flynn, two grandchildren, Shauna (Justin) Hanner, Heather Maggard, one-step granddaughter, Stacey Flynn, great grandson, Carter Maggard, step-great grandson, Elijah Flynn, one sister, Nina L. Hauersperger and one brother, Jerry Gholson.

Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, William M. "Kenny" Gholson, Larry Gholson, two sisters, Hilda Bailey, Shirley Bailey and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 P.M. Monday until the hour of service at the Church.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Word of Life Fellowship Church (4713 E. State Road 54 Bloomfield, IN. 47424) with Brother Eugene Helms officiating.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Jack's name be given to the Word of Life Fellowship Church.
