Ismay "Toots" Brunton, 86, of Bloomfield passed away Thursday September 29, 2011 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born January 14, 1925 in Taylor Township in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Oscar and Nellie (Kern) Townsend.
Toots was retired from Westing House and a care taker for the elderly. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a Gold Star Mother and the Holy Name Catholic Church all in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include her children; Jonell Harper and Kerna Johnson both of Bloomfield, Gaye Whitehead and Amberlea Duncan both of Bloomington. She has seven grandchildren; Jamee Beard, Babette Lloyd, Heidi Wilson, Kirstin Workman, TJ Terrell, Lacee Spicer and Gage Duncan; she has eight great grandchildren, one sister; Winogene Myers of Crane, Indiana, one Niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terrance Brunton, one son Terry Brunton, one granddaughter Hollee Lee Lent, one grandson Cory Brunton, one nephew Kenton Myers and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Saturday and 1 P.M. Sunday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday October 2, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Father Michael Madden and Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, Indiana.
