Helen Ruth (Barrett) Driscol, 89 years young, entered into her Heavenly home to meet Jesus on Jan 15th, 2023, where she undoubtedly has been joyously welcomed by numerous family members.
She was born on November 11, 1933 in Lebanon, Indiana to Everett Raymond Barrett and Iris Irene (Rude) Barrett. She went to Lebanon schools and graduated in 1951. She was married on December 18, 1955 to Don Lewis Driscol, who preceded her to Heaven on June 15, 2020.
Throughout her life she wore many hats: Helen was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, in-law, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to the many that knew and loved her. She had numerous jobs through the years (a secretary at Stewart-Warner and Ft Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Economy Fire and Casualty in Lebanon, IN and Peter Paul Cadbury in Frankfort, IN) but none she cherished more than being a mom and a grandma. She was always available and "on call" to help out with grandma duties and she never seemed to tire of it! Her laugh was something that we will fondly remember and she always laughed the most when she was with her 2 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her 3 sweet infant daughters: Holli Ann, Melanie Irene and Suzanne Marie, her husband: Don Driscol, her 2 sisters: H. Rovene Woody and Lois O'Connor and stepmother: Marie Barrett.
She leaves behind her daughter: Gwen (Chip)Dudine, grandchildren: Kelci (Thomas) Cabana, Collin Dudine and Carson Dudine and great-grandchildren: Grayson and Hunter Cabana. She also leaves behind 2 stepbrothers: Rick Culley (Joan) and Walter Culley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
