Hazel Josephine Girdley, 97, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Linton.

Born December 15, 1923 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Ernest and Clara Jane (Dove) Hamilton.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving relatives include: two granddaughters, Alicia Johnson and Melissa Kohlman; her great grandchildren, Brandon Skinner, Shane Lillie (Jessica), Kassidy Walton (Richard) and Noah Lombardi; great, great grandchildren, Savanna Lillie, Melanie Lillie, Logan Lillie, Caiden Walton and Ricky Walton; and a son-in-law, Ronald Skinner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sheldon Girdley on April 30, 1996, Daughter, Beverly Jane Skinner on August 12, 2014, a grandson, William Douglas Skinner, her siblings, Harold Hamilton, Iona Rusher, Ina Dowden, Gladys Ham, Dean Hamilton and Gene Hamilton and her parents.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Scotland Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
