Born April 18, 1928 in Edon, Ohio. He was the son of Charley Clayton and Nina (Burlew)Burke.
He was a retired truck driver for RH Marlin.
Survivors include: his wife, Ina Mae (Shaffer) Burke of Bloomington; children, Ronnnie and his wife Deanna Burke of Solsberry; Marilyn West of Bloomington; Saundra Burke of Bloomington, David and his wife Debra Burke of Fishers; two sisters, Dorothy Ireland of Angola; Elizabeth Cross of Davison, Michigan; Eight grandchildren, Brian Burke of Bloomington, Becky Kirkpatrick of Terre Haute, Christina Axson of Solsberry, Lonica Burke of Solsberry, Lisa West of Bloomington, Dekota, Dylan and Delaney Burke of Fishers; and 13 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 1, 2006 at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield, Indiana with Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
