Guy R. Workman, 89, of Bloomfield passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on August 11, 1935 in Greene County, Indiana, the son of Ora A. and Naomi V. (Axe) Workman.

Guy was a proud lineman for REMC with 41 years of service, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. Guy was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was a well-known handyman and could fix just about anything. You never saw him without a smile on his face or a prank in the works. Guy never missed a chance to support his grandchildren in their extracurricular activities and could be seen in attendance regularly.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 68 years, Barbara Workman, two children, Steve (Robin) Workman, Karen Oliphant, his grandchildren, Jaimie Spicer, Courtni (Stevie) Hawkins, Alli (Clayton) French, Averi (Jared) Myers, Neil (Brooke) Oliphant, Joel Oliphant, one sister, Nina Crowe, and several nieces and nephews.

Guy was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Edelman, son-in-law, Jim Oliphant, and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Kevin Wrigley officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
