Grover "Dude" Davis, 74, of Springville passed away Wednesday September 4, 2024 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born March 25, 1950 in Linton, Indiana the son of Grover and Emma (Miller) Davis.

Dude adored his family and was so very proud of them. He was married to his wife Betty for almost 45 years and he loved her dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and keeping up on the antics of his great grandson. He loved to watch westerns, Nascar racing, and college basketball, being a lifelong IU fan. His family loved him and will miss him very much. Stacey will miss their nightly talks. Dude was retired from Otis Elevator in Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include his daughter, Stacey (James) Skomp of Springville, his grandchildren, Stephen Skomp of Bloomington, Emma (Treston) Russell of Great Falls, Montana; Hayden Skomp of Springville, one great grandchild, Theo Davis Russell of Great Falls, Montana; one brother, Pete (MaryAlice) Davis, one sister, Maudie (Eddie) Burch, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dude was preceded in death by his wife Betty June Davis on March 9, 2017; siblings, Lloyd Davis, Darl "Stub" Davis and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Borst officiating. Burial will follow at Hobbieville Oliphant Cemetery in Springville.
