Grace E. Hanson, 97, of Greencastle passed away Friday December 18, 2015 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Born February 8, 1918 in Bloomfield the daughter of Elmer and Effie Mae (Denman) Floyd.

Grace graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1936, also graduated from Royal Beauty Academy, she was a beautician for forty eight years. During WWII she was a member of Jonesboro Home Defense, Ambulance Corps at Marion, Indiana. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church and enjoyed her flowers and gardening.

Grace is survived by three nephews, Harry Fuller of Bloomfield, Murl Summerville of Bloomington, William Floyd of North Carolina, six nieces, Barbara Graves of Linton, Nellie Hayes and Irma Richards both of Greencastle, June Chipman and Ann Dicks both of Indianapolis and Phyllis Comado of Beech Grove.

Grace was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Bland in 1953, Gerald Hanson in 1999, her siblings, Macal Floyd, Hazel Summerville, Helen Holley, Audrey Chipman, Doris Fuller, Max Floyd, and two nieces and two nephews.

Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. on Sunday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Scott Chastain and Randall Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Riley Children Hospital or charity of ones choice.
