Gilbert Allen "Gib" Bland, 90, of Solsberry passed away Thursday November 6, 2025 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born June 18, 1935 in Solsberry, Indiana the son of Raymond L. and Myrtle Jeanett (Abram) Bland.

Gib was retired from RCA; he was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church and attended Healing Waters Church.

Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Dunigan, Deanna (Robby) Jewell, one son Dean Allen (Patty) Bland, his grandchildren, Michelle Dawn Hess-Wright, Kristen (Johnny) Arnold, Matthew (Carrie) Jewell, Samuel (Sara) Jewell, Brandy Swango, Angie (Mike) Todd, he has several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, one brother Raymond L. Bland Jr., (Velma).

Gib was preceded in death by his wife Margaret E. "Betty" Bland on March 12, 2008, one son Steve Norman and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 10 A.M. until the hour of service.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home with Brother Carl Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.

The family ask any memorial donations in Gilbert's name be given to IU Health Hospice House (2810 S. Deborah Drive, Bloomington, IN. 47403)
