Gerald F. Vandeventer, 68, of Bloomington passed away at 5:03 P.M. August 3, 2006 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 5, 1937 in Greene County Indiana he was the son of Floyd & Ruby Fern (Wells) Vandeventer.
He worked at GE in Bloomington for 27 Years, he was retired. He was a member of the Moose, & the Eagles Lodges in Bloomington.
Surviving relatives include 3 daughters - Debora & her husband Jim Pennington on Boonville, Virginia "V.V." Vandeventer of Springville, Lisa & husband Bret Tucher of Ellettsville. 1 Grandson Jeffery Phillips of Bloomington, 2 Granddaughters Amy Saileau of Huntingburgh, & Mindy Marshall Evansville. 1 Great Granddaughter April Lynn Saileau of Huntingburgh. 1 Brother Wilbur Vandeventer of Bloomfield. 3 Sisters Deloris Kristler of Linton, Erma Weaver of Ellettsville, Carolyn Carmichael of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Sons Jeffery Joe, & Steven Lee Vandeventer. 2 Sisters Geneva Gilbert, & Betty Meek. 2 Brothers Donald, & Jerry Ray Vandeventer.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Sunday August 6, 2006 & 1 P.M. till the hour Monday at Jenkins Funeral home in Bloomfield.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 7, 2006 at Jenkins funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Eugene Helms officiating. Burial will be at Solsberry Cemetery.
