George L. Powell, 81 of Jasonville, Indiana passed away Friday February 20, 2026 at his residence.

Born December 16, 1944 in Danville, Illinois the son of Raymond and Mary (Smith) Powell.

George was retired from Crane as a supervisor; George loved to garden and his animals.

Surviving relatives include his children, Leslie Powell, Crystal Newell, Tammy Walls, step-children, Luther King, Dian Updike, his grandchildren, Dustin Weir, Dakota Walls, Alexis Walls, Shane Powell, several great grandchildren, his siblings, Pete Powell, Judy Clem, Perrie McCrone and several nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby F. Powell, a grandson Damien Powell, infant sister, Carol Kay Powell, brother, Carl Powell, step-son, Robert King, step-grandson Robert King, Jr; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 12 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday March 2, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday March 2, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Nick Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
