George Lee Mason (Services Postponed)'s Obituary
George Lee Mason at age 74, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2023 at his home in Tyler, Texas with his children by his side.
George was born in Linton, Indiana on October 16, 1948. He proudly served our country for 38 years as First Sergeant in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father John Nelson Mason and his mother, Delema Mae Sisk-Mason, his sister, Edna Jane and four brothers, John, Bill, Gregg and Ronnie Mason.
He is survived by his two children, daughter, Deena Lea Mason-Knox and Husband Heath Knox, his son, David Lee Mason, both of Tyler, TX; two brothers, Gary and Carl Mason both of Indiana; five grandchildren, Michael Arnold and Taylor Li McLeod of Lufkin, Tx, Julie Bobo of Canton, TX., Callie and Brayden Knox of Tyler, TX; four great- grandchildren, Paisley and River Arnold, Madden and Mavren McLeod.
A memorial service with honor guard will be held at Scotland Cemetery at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in honor of George Mason.
