George William Anderson, 79, of Route four Bloomfield, passed away 9:40 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 27, 1927 in Solsberry, he was the son of John Walter and Amanda Ellen (Bough) Anderson.
He was a Electronic Technician for RCA in Bloomington retiring in 1988 and was also a farmer.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Ruby Claris (Martindale) Anderson of Bloomfield, whom he married October 12, 1951; one son, Gordon T. Anderson and wife Linda of Bloomfield; one daughter, Carol (Anderson) Freeman and husband Silver of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Nicole Freeman of Clinton, Amanda (Freeman) Graves and husband Kevan of Switz City, Kelly (Anderson) Smither and husband John of Navarre, Florida, Kelsey Jade Anderson of Bloomfield, and Adam William Anderson of Bloomfield; three great, grandchildren, Allison Morgan, Evan Alexander Brooks, and Jovan Silver Graves.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Shelly Anderson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday September 24, 2007 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Robert Martindale officiating. Burial will be in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
