Gene Wilburn Donahue, 87, of Springville, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his residence

Born September 21, 1935 in McAlester, Oklahoma, he was the son of Floyd Eugene Donahue and Edith (Shirley) Donahue Cain.

Gene was an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW local #725 for over 60 years and loved woodworking. He served his country in the United States Navy.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Emma Lee (Hardisty) Donahue whom he married October 19, 1960; one daughter, Jewell Donahue (Don Atchison); his grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Crowe, Joni and Brice James and Jenna Crowe and Cory Ramsey; his great grandchildren, Jayden (Mariah), Olivia, Briler, Braylee, Brayson, Carter, Jacey and Jovey; one brother, Gary Donahue (Janice) and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Donahue Jr., one sister, Fern Rose and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Gene Gilstrap officiating. Interment will follow in Solsberry Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Solsberry Cemetery.
