Gary Ray Gilmore, 70, of Bloomfield passed away at 9:24 A.M. on Thursday April 15, 2010 at his residence.
Gary was born on January 24, 1940 in Koleen, Indiana the son of Carl and Venita (George) Gilmore.
Gary was a 1957 graduate of Oolitic High School and worked at Victor Oolitic Stone Mill, Westing House, American Farm Lines Trucking Company, Wetterau, Swift Trucking and retired from NSWC Crane in 2005. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post # 196 and the Bloomfield First Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Jill (Seals) Gilmore of Bloomfield, two sons Cameron (Amy) Gilmore of Bloomfield and Shane (Sherri) Gilmore of Stafford, Virginia. One sister Dorothy Moyer of Sullivan and Five Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Carlos (Butch) Gilmore.
Friends and Family are invited to gather in remembrance from 1 to 3 P.M. on Sunday April 18, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Bloomfield.
A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday April 18, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope and Rev. Dave Wilde officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date with the Bloomfield American Legion Post # 196 having Military Gravside Services.
In Lieu of flowers the family wishs all donations be made to the Bloomington Hospital Hospice of Greene County.
