Frederick Douglas O'Bannon, 76, of Owensburg, passed away at 1:58 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born October 7, 1937 in Dresden, Indiana he was the son of Everett and Beatrice Louise (Jeffries) O'Bannon. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Carl Jackson Lumber and for J.C. Penney.
Surviving relatives include: two brothers, John O'Bannon (Lela) of Owensburg and Dick O'Bannon of Woodland, California; two sisters, Sally Cramer (Bill) of Bedford and Mary R. Bever of Owensburg; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Ashcraft Chapel Cemetery in rural Bloomfield, with Jay Collins officiating.
There will be no public visitation, Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
