Frederick Junior Cox's Obituary
Frederick Junior Cox, 91, 0f Bloomfield, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his residence.
Born December 19, 1926 in Solsberry, he was the son of John and Daisy (Crockett) Cox.
He served his country in the Korean War with the United States Army. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad.
Surviving relatives include: one brother, Dexter Cox of Solsberry and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Fern (Todd) Cox on May 1, 2017; three brothers, Ralph, Dwight and Russell Cox; three sisters, Eva Chaney, Annie Watkins and Mary McIntosh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to IU Health Hospcie.
