Esther Lois Hasler, 92, of Bloomfield passed away at 7:20 P.M. Sunday May 9, 2010 at the Lyons Health & Living Center.
Esther was born August 31, 1917 in Linton, Indiana the daughter of Luther and Zola (Crowe) Branstetter.
Esther is retired from School teaching, she taught at Wildcat and then Bloomfield. She is a member Tri Kappa, Indiana State Teachers Association and the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her son Kim Hasler of Chandler, Arizona. Five grandchildren Jason Hasler of Linton, Kent Hasler, Kristina Hasler, Karolyn Hasler and Kyle Hasler all of Chandler, Arizona. One great granddaughter Bailey Hasler of Linton.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Whitaker "Bill" Hasler on July 5, 2005; one son Kent Hasler on February 8, 1977; two brothers Marvin Branstetter and Morris Dale Branstetter; one sister Evelyn Dove and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday May 14, 2010 and 12 Noon Friday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday May 15, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
The family wishes any donations be made to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
