Elena Powell 91, of Solsberry, passed away at 10:54 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 8, 1919 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Carl and Margaret Troder.
She was an assembly worker for North Manchester's and a member of Pleasant Ridge Church.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Juanita Mae Mrockez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Beverly Joan Mulanax of Fort Worth, Texas and Georgia Ann Chambers of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Walter Paul Trode of Bryan, Ohio; and one sister, Anna Margaret Lambert of North Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Smoot, two sons, Carl Allen and Billy Smoot and one daughter, Margaret Betty Bland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jerry Gholson officiating. Interment will be in Solsberry cemetery.
