Edna L. Sparks, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Indianapolis.
Born January 12, 1919 in Greene County, she was the daughter of James and Bertha (Wright) Hardesty Chipman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include: one son, James W. Sparks of Indianapolis; one sister, Sissie Hardesty of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard W. Sparks on July 26, 1982, one daughter, Sue Warner, two step daughters, Edna Mae Richeson and Shirley Pullen, four brothers, three sisters and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
