Edna Lois Minks, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born October 24, 1951 in Linton, she was the daughter of Reed E. and Ruby Pearl (Heaton) Vandeventer.

She was a member of Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield and she was a homemaker.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Linda Sue Poe (Carl) of Linton, Michael Eugene Minks of Greenwood and Amanda Dawn Bishop (William) of Jasper; her grandchildren, John Poe, Michael Donovan, Tibitha Donovan and Haben Watson; a great grandchild, Beckham Poe; one sister, Mabel Keller (Charlie) of Bloomfield; her companion, Jerry Minks; nieces, Loretta Frye, Sarah Helms and Melinda Minks and her nephews, Daniel Keller, Christopher Minks and Anthony Minks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene "Shorty" Minks on May 14, 2007, brothers, Larry Vanderventer, Ricky Vandeventer and Bob Vandeventer and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at World of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield, with Brother Eugene Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the Word of Life Fellowship Church.
