Edna L. Carmichael, 87, of Bloomfield passed away at Bloomington Hospital on Monday November 2, 2009.
Edna was born February 6, 1922 in Bloomfield the daughter of Festus B. and Alta (Quimby) Hardisty.
Edna was a homemaker and a 70 year member of the Cincinnati Christian Church, C & H Home Ec Club and the Solsberry American Legion Auxiliary Post # 450.
Surviving relatives include her husband Harley E. Carmichael of Bloomfield. Two children Cynthia Roberts and her husband Tom of Bloomfield, and Bruce J. Carmichael and his wife Julie of Bloomington.Five grandchildren Jessica Reed and her husband Anthony of Bloomington, Jonathan Roberts of Chicago, Ill. Levi Carmichael and his wife Amanda of Sellersburg, Sarah Roberts of Zionsville and Dane Carmichael and his wife Tiffany of Bloomington. One great grandson Evan Carmichael and one great granddaughter Evelyn Carmichael. One brother Laurel Hardisty of Greenfield.
Edna was preceded in death by one son Kim Carmichael, one brother Lloyd Hardisty and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday and 12 noon Thursday until the hour ALL AT THE CINCINNATI CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Cincinnati Christian Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Tony Stinson officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
The family wishes any donations be made to the Cincinnati Christian Church Building Fund in Edna's name.
