Dorothy Vivian Gill, 93, of Solsberry, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her residence.
Born March 2, 1930 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Oliver Wesley and Emma Lurinda (Crum) Anderson.
Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed her flowers and gardening. Her daughters say she has been the best mother anyone could have ever hoped for, and she's been their best friend.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Loretta Zink and Judy Weaver, a son-in-law, David Weaver, that she loved as if he was her own son; six grandchildren - Melanie Kelsey, Robert Zink Jr, Curtis Smythe, Jonathan Smythe, Dusty Smythe, and Karen Allison Butman, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Gill on April 9, 2010, one daughter, Karen Smythe, one brother, Lloyd Anderson; her sisters, Nola Holtsclaw, Nona Todd and Mabel Johnson and a grandson, Justin Scott Anderson.
Services for Dorothy will be private. Interment will be in Bingham Cemetery. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
