Doris M. Landis, 81, of Switz City, passed away at 7:45am on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at The Gathering Together in Plainfield, Indiana.
Born April 23, 1933 in Stanford, Indiana the daughter of Roly Austin and Gladys Rose (Lassiter) Martindale.
Doris was a member of the Switz City Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her two children, David Owens and wife Amber of Plainfield and Marilyn Hill of Terre Haute, she has six grandchildren, Jamie Owens of Plainfield, Billy Cole of Terre Huate, Michael Cole of Pendleton, Jennifer Blackburn and husband Josh of Plainfield, Brandon Hill and Jesse Hill Both of Jasonville, she has five great grandchildren, Jourdan Owens, Austin Cole, Abigail Owens, Jesslyn Boxman-Hill and Georgia Blackburn, two nieces, Diana Poling of Bloomington and Pamela Slater of Morgantown, also cousins and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Bill Landis whom she married in 1954, one brother, one sister and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm on Friday June 27, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 10am Saturday until the hour of service at the Church.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 28, 2014 at the Switz City Full Gospel Church with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery.
