Donald Gilreath, 63, of Linton, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born May 13, 1950 in Pine Knot, Kentucky, he was the son of Fred and Alma Juanita (Holaway) Gilreath.
He worked for Cook Inc. in Bloomington and attended the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Deborah Kay (Wiggington) Gilreath whom he married July 28, 1975; one son, Donny Roy Gilreath of Linton; one daughter, Carrie Rose (Travis) of Linton; his brothers, Jerry Lee Gilreath of Bloomfield, Dickie Norris Gilreath (Linda) of Bloomfield, Larry Wayne Gilreath (Denise) of Bloomington, Steve Allen Gilreath (Terry) of Solsberry, David Patrick Gilreath (Karen) of Chambersburg, PA and Robert Dean Gilreath (Sherry) of Jasonville; sisters, Janet May Martin-Lytle (Dennis) of Shippensburg, PA, Sandra Jean Turpin of Linton, Peggy Ann Lopez of Linton and Wendy Gail Rines (Sam) of Chambersburg, PA; his grandchildren, Logon Andrew Rose and Leah Emily Rose.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Marie Gilreath, his father, Fred Gilreath on April 27, 1977, his mother, Alma Juanita Gilreath on June 4, 2009 and one sister-in-law, Karen Gilreath on July 1, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Funeral Home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home to help defray the cost of final expenses.
