Deloris Ellen (Harris) Thomasson, 78, of Owensburg, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her residence.
Born March 3, 1933 in Martin County, she was the daughter of John Edward and Ora Ellen (Reed) Harris.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ownesburg Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Diana Sue Kindred of Owensburg and Melody Lea Lashley (Russell) of Montgomery; her grandsons, Jim Kindred of Owensburg, Garrett Kindred of Owensburg, Jeremy Lashley of Montgomery and Justin Lashley of Minnesota; five great, grandchildren, Porcha Pruitt, Jacob Kindred, Michael Kindred, Makenna Lashley and Matthew Lashley; and two great, great, grandchildren, Payton and Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy L. Thomasson on June 13, 1989, a son-in-law, Michael Kindred, two sisters, Luella Miller and Dollie Michael and her parents.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Kenny Adams & Rev. Phil Thorn officiating. Interment will follow in Owensburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday & 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Owensburg Baptist Church.
