Delia E. Simmons 80, of Koleen, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born July 12, 1929 in Newman, Illinois, she was the daughter of John Clinton and Opal (Cunningham) Ray.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Koleen Union Church and the Koleen Ladies aid.
Surviving relatives include: her son, John C. Simmons of Koleen; one brother, Carl Ray of Newman, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Simmons in 1998, three brothers, two sisters, and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Chet Hacker and Rev. Lloyd Swango officiating. Interment will follow in Howell cemetery in Koleen.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
